Thailand's Royal Project Foundation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock took stock of the activities implemented in 1st and 2nd Phases of the MOU signed in 2015 and extended in 2019, respectively, and also discussed potential areas of collaboration under Phases 3.

A 11-member Thai delegation led by Prof. Emeritus Dr. Pongsak Angkasith, Executive Board Member, Thailand's Royal Project Foundation (RPF) visited Bhutan from 26th to 30th June 2024. The delegation visited the Royal Project sites in Thimphu and Punakha and also held discussions with the project and MOAL officials.

Both sides expressed satisfaction on the progress of activities on the ground and agreed to continue cooperation in the areas of fruit, vegetables, flowers, landscaping and fishery aimed at benefiting local communities. Native plants, organic vegetables, postharvest management, marketing, skilling, sustainable development and capacity building were some of the areas emphasized for future cooperation.

The Secretary thanked the delegation for visiting Bhutan and conveyed the Royal Government's appreciation and gratitude to Royal Project Foundation Thailand for the generous support and cooperation.
